I have wanted a red BC for 15 years. :0 Roo was supposed to be red.. (she was black tri) But all these other coloured dogs came... I bred many red ones.. Now, when I was not actually planning (seriously) to have another dog, MY RED BC decided to enter my life! When I saw the first photos of Jackie, I thought wow. And learning about her character, I thought this is it. :)
And so a son of Spark and Jackie (Wonder of Kate´s Sam vom Beutenhof) came to live with me in June 2008.
His call name is Revyy (Revué in english) as he's not quite a Cabaroo, so he's a revué! :D His reg.name is Let's Play which goes together with Revyy. Play means loads of things and one is "To perform (a theatrical work) on or as if on the stage." We'll be playing on the Obedience Stage, and something else is also planned.
I have just (3.6.08) come home with Revyy, or Mr. Big or Bigfoot, he already has lots of names as he has HUGE paws and looks like a bear! :D He travelled okey except when the box stopped going he started to whine and howl "Why don't we move?!!" He did not fit into the box I had for him (I knew it would be a tight call..) but thankfully Nikol borrowed hers. Me and my sister had quite an adventure in Czech Republik..
Thanks go to many people, mainly Nikol & David of course, and Jana. Thank you! :)
Revyy was an adorable puppy! Very brave, friendly and did not worry about anything. At 5 months old he is rather big.. but can go amazingly fast (for a pup whose feet are two numbers too big for the body...!). I have clickertrained him a bit but I am taking things slow. I'm in no hurry. We enjoy the learning process.
Revyy is now a year old and very much a baby, albeit a big one! He is huge.. but has nice proportions. He can go very fast, and loves to run. He also loves to jump - like if there's another dog on his path, he JUMPS OVER IT!!! :0 I've lost the count of times he's jumped over Cloud who is happily trotting in front of him on the path..! Nevada is usually too quick for that and they love to run together.
His training is progressing slowly, mostly due to me! On the other hand, I have wanted to take things slow with him, he needs time both physically and mentally to grow up. He is too 'wild' for obedience at the moment so I have started to do Agility with him. Yep, you read right, I, myself, do agility with him :0 And it's quite fun, he listens and concentrates very well and I try to learn to run... :)
He has a wonderful temperament but is SO full of energy and a bit rough (he likes to climb up on my lap but I am left with bruises...!) that he can be quite a handful at times. He is much slower to mature than what Spark was. I am sure he'll be great one day.
Photos and videos will later be put on this page.
