This litter was the first I ever bred, out of my own two dogs who happened to suite each other well. The sire, Tristan, provided the brains and looks, and dam, Roo, lots of speed and her manic ways. Or so the story goes! ;)
Poor Roo had a tough time delivering the pups and two died after the C-section. Still, she managed the motherhood well. I remember feeling rather tearful when I had to decide who would own the little guys.. To realize that once they walk out the door, they are not yours any more... :/
Well, thanks to those people who have provided a good home for my lovely cabaroos :) The pups are now 8 years old and have been reasonably healthy throughout their lives, which is a valuable thing. Two of them have gained champion status, one being Int Fin S Agility Champion, and the other Nordic Obedience Champion.
