16th Dec — In loving memory; Spark 12.6.2001-15.12.2011. :'(
I got very sad news from Ilse. Our lovely Spark (ObCh BH Apache van de Vrundenhoeve) was put to sleep to save further suffering. In March this year he had an operation to remove some growth from his spleen and afterwards his liver did not function properly. He lost about 8kg and was heavily on cortisone. He got better but now his health detorated and his liver stopped functioning. Ilse made the difficult but right decision to let him go.
Spark was a magnificent dog, lots of power and working ability. The red wolf... I miss him deeply. I'm so sorry for you loss, Ilse. A Dog of a Lifetime. For both of us, although I only had him for 2 wonderful years.

Brida got (C. Cactus-Eye Kate) tresults -11,71/2nd place (28 entries) and
-21,23/2nd place (26 entries) so two qualifiers! Fantastic, congratulations Vuokko!!
Also Tex (C. Thunder-Eye Tex) went well, put chose a short cut in the weaving poles ;) Both dogs and handlers look very neat and effecient, or what you think;

3.12. — Brego HTM-Open HP /3rd place, Nevada HTM-open HP/ 2nd place
HTM competition in Helsinki Winner Show. Susanna did a new routine, a beautiful routine to Riverdance music! Mom had made a beautiful dress like the irish dancers have. I was almost in tears as it was SO beautiful to watch!!!

26th-27th November — HTM & Freestyle NORDICS 2011, Norway
Finnish HTM-Team got SILVER!!!! Yippee!! Danish Team won and Sweden was second. In Individuals Tanja & Goldie Daisy got pronze - congratulations!
Nevada made it to the finals which was suprising as we did mistakes.. In the finals she was 8th but I was pleased with that performance. It felt a lot better.
Finnish Freestyle-Team won GOLD!!! Wow! And Sini & sheltie Sonic won the individual competition with almost full points!! Congratulations, it was fantastic!! Team Sweden was 2nd and Team Norway 3rd. In Norway this is a new sport but we saw some great routines.

I remember when Tuubi (C. Be Or Not To Be) was a pup, I went to spend Christmas with my parents and he was travelling on the passenger seat.. :D I kept stroking him. :D Can't believe it was 9 years ago...!
I moved in September so life has been a mess (or at least the house is a mess... and my head is a mess..) We had an Eye-litter meeting, big thanks to Marika!!!! Also a small Christmas-litter meeting, Rudi and Nata got to play together. :)

Open European Championships were held in Denmark and it was a fantastic experience. Thanks for organizers and thanks for Finnish Team! Nevada was 13th on Sat so we did not get to the finals. BUT, our HTM team was third!! We got BRONZE in OPEN EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIPS HTM TEAM COMPETITION!!! :))) The winner was Great Britain and second Denmark - congratulations!! I find this remarkable because we finns have practised only for a year!!!!
It's tough to be on the road... what a journey...!! I've not recovered yet..

HEALTH (Eye-litter):
Hilda (C. Keen-Eye Annie) had her shoulder operated on because of OCD. I feel for you, Sanna. Courage!!
Brida (C. Cactus-Eye Kate) has otherwise normal skeletal structure except her hips are D/D and in one shoulder there are light changes. Tex (C. Thunder-Eye Tex) has B/B hips and normal skeletal structure, no indication of OCD. In this litter of 4 puppies three had ocd-changes in their shoulders and two had to have an operation. It's a huge disappointment for me as breeder, not to mention all the stress it causes for the dogs and the owners. I am very sorry.

Life is too busy.. I had a very nice time in CZ training obedience :) and I had a nice weekend camp in Dog Dancing ihere in homeland. Now I try to remember what the Cabaroo dogs have done during the last month or so.. Sorry I'm being a bad breeder for not having time to be proud of your results..!! (I am very proud!!)

HEALTH: Hilda hips A-A, elbows 0-0
The sad news are that Hilda (C. Keen-Eye Annie) had X-rays done, everything else (hips, elbows, spine, neck) were perfect but there was a slight change in her right shoulder so it is OC. Shortly after the diagnose she started limbing so more visits to the vet are needed. I'm so sorry, Sanna!! :'(

6th August — Ronni OB4: exc and Rilla Tracking result JK2!!
Ronni (C. One Wild Night) got his first excellent from cl.4 with 281/2nd place. HUGE congratulation Heidi!!!
Rilla (C. Along Ice Trail) got excellent result from tracking test 2, tracking points were190/200p and obedience was 93/100!! Wow! Congratulations. Now they can compete in the highest class in WT tracking. :)
31st July — Armas got Agility Certificate!!!
Huge congratulations to Jennie and Armas (C. Fabulous Vegas) for their first agility cert!! They were placed first! :)
6th July — Revyy in unofficial Agility Competition
Tonights training was practising competition so we went to Nummela to take part in unofficial competition. It was a pre-beginners class with no seesaw, tyre or weaves. Thankfully our Trainer Pia told what to do and where, otherwise I would have been a bad mapreader... Revyy (Let's Play Black Chevers), who has never taken part in any competition was rearing to go! :0 He was very fast and it's a right miracle I got him where I wanted him as I really run like Captain Jack Sparrow!!! I laughed my eyes out when I watched the video!! :D
Result was an amazing clear run, time -21,03 and 1st place! And the feeling even more amazing, I felt like I had won another Fi Ch.Ship!! Wow! The second course we did better start and I tried a fancier steering but messed it up, never mind. :)

Spinnu (C. Plaza Poker) has been here "on vacation" (well, owners were on vacation). Social and a very nice tempered dog, living together with my boys, as well as seeing Brego, has been a breeze. :) It's such a joy to have social well-behaved dogs. :))

27th June —Finnish KC informs that ER-registed dogs are not eligible to receive int CC's like CACIBs/CACIOBs etc. and cannot become int champions according to FCI rules. FCI states that ER register is an appendix of studbook, not a studbook.

22nd June — Nevada has been chosen to represent Finland in HTM!
Today we got info that Nevada (C. Glacier Gale) has been chosen for the Finnish HTM Team and we will get to go to Nordics at the end of November in Norway, and hopefully to the Open European Championships in DK in October! Yippee!!! :)
Farra (C. Wolf-Eye Farra) has been here for a week. I had to give her a note about manners, teenagers forgets to respect the elders.. ;) She is so beautiful to look at, and is a fun personality. :)
19th June — Finnish Agility Championship Winner is MEG, daughter of Pihka!!
Finnish Agility Championships in large category was won by Fi AgCh ObCh Tending Pawnee "MEG", who is a daughter to Cabaroo Flamin Flamenco. Handled by Pete Huotari. Big big congratulations!!
I must mention that Pihka's sister Pilli was 2nd in Agi FiChShips in 2004 and their sire Tristan was 3rd in 1994. So it runs in the family ;)

Sire to the Christmas litter, Tarawood's I Feel Good "Spiiku" has been tested TNS and CL clear so does not carry either disease. This means that all the pups in Christmas litter are genetically clear of CEA, TNS and CL. Great!

21st May — Eye-litter Meeting
On Saturday we had Eye Litter Meeting (Luka x Sigma), we had Brida, Tex and Hilda taking part, and also damSigma and Granny Cloud. Farra could not come because Marika had hurt her ankle — get well soon!! First we did tracking in the forest which went very well. Even Cloud did a short track, and beautifully! :) Then we went to Vuokko's place to to barbecue and chat. Thanks!! Then we did a bit of obedience. These pups seem rather submissive but they also have toughness. Thanks to all for a wonderful day! PHOTOS

I was happy with Nevada (C. Glacier Gale), she concentrated well and did not go "OTT". :) Best thing was that there was a part that went really well, although I had stepped on her toes about 50 times the day before!! She's such an amazing dog, with the best work ethic ever, she just tries harder and harder, and says "let's train more and more!" <3

Awesome! Congratulations Maria & Yra (C. The Mirage)! Yra got her second AGI sertificate, she was 4th in a class of 52 dogs. Well done, lots and lots of congratulations! :)
Tiri from Cl.1 got 5/3rd, but fastest time out of 38 dogs!! Winner was Anne-Maria's lovely Spiiku who is the dad to Christmas-litter. This was second Qualifier to Spiiku, congratulations A-M!!

25th Feb — Christmas-puppies are gone!
Now the sweethearts have gone, and they went far... only got to keep one pup nearby! These were wonderful pups, very active! A bit too much...! ;) All had clear eyes and clear health certificates from the vet. In the puppy test they all proved to be excellent tempered puppies who should do well in any dog sport. They all showed herding instinct already.
Cabaroo Run Run Rudolph "Rudi", this Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer went to Tampere to be obedience and Agility dog for Virpi & Juha.
Cabaroo Mistletoe'n Wine "Nata", this red&white girl went to family Pesonen in Kuopio, to be an agilitydog.
Cabaroo Merry'n Bright "Leia", this very merry black&white pup went to Tuija in Helsinki. I hope to be able to see this one a bit more than the others. She will do agility.
Cabaroo Naughty Or Nice "Onnie", the only blue merle, went to Sweden to Anna-Carin, to be an agility dog when she grows up. I had her 1½ weeks extra while we were waiting the import papers to come from the ministry. She was a very brave and outgoing pup, went everywhere to learn new things. Absolutely wonderful pup!
Good luck to all puppies, have a long happy and healthy life with lots of joyous moments to new owners!

Nevada (C. Glacier Gale) took the lead (!!) and I got all messed up!! She decided she knows everything and was not waiting for my commands... She's the sort of dog who has to be worked a lot to achieve consistency, it's partly my fault that she's having so much fun and therefore getting a bit too excited. I've not had enough time for her because of the pups.
January just whizzed by with Saimi's pups. They were born by C-section on 21st December.
