The next litter is due in January; week 3/2012;
Sire:
Tarawood's I Feel Good "Spiiku" blm
Hips A-A, ED: 0-0, OCD-free
Eyes: OK, CEA DNA Normal (parents ok), TNS and CL DNA-normal
Spiiku: koiranet.
Agility class 3. Shows herding instinct. Has got a fabulous friendly and social temperament, toward people and also other dogs.
Dam:
Guallatiri Of Xilver Highland "Tiri" tricolour (born 28th Dec 07)
Hips: C-B, ED:0-0 eyes OK
CEA DNA normal, CL DNA normal, TNS DNA normal
Tiri has a wonderful social temperament and is a fast and cabable agilitydog; 2 x 0/1st place from cl.1.
See
video of her first win.
See pedigree in Fin database. Her hips are C-B so I'll use a stud dog from low-scoring lineage. Tiri's hips do not bother her at all.
The reasons why I chose Spiiku as Tiri's mate are; his pedigree is full of dogs who score low/are healthy when it comes to hip dysplasia, no OCD in the lines and Tarawoods have been x-raying it as well (shoulders) and I think Spiiku has a fantastic temperament and I really really like him!! These pups will be perhaps slightly softer than what usually comes from me (do I hear a sigh of relief from somewhere?!), so I think these will be relatively easy. :) Both parents have lots of prey drive but are not dominant over things. Also food is good as a reward. Both have the off/on-buttons and are fun to live with.
Inqueries welcomed. :)
After these puppies we hope to have the next litter in 2015 or 2016, so there'll be a small pause in the breeding to pursue other things.
These are just plans, and may be altered.
I prefer winter pups (september to april) because I want to go out and about and compete during the summer. Our winters are cold and dark and nothing else to do but play with pups! ;)
I breed active trainable dogs who can be TOPS in most disciplines. However, when they leave, they are just promising puppies.
The handler does the rest.
I also breed nice looking dogs with correct conformation. I think that is of upmost importance for a working dog. They are not big breed winners as I prefer the looks of the original British Border Collie to anything else. Read more about my thoughts under 'breeding'.
INQUERIES WELCOMED!

** Always take a pup from parents whose disposition you really like.**
It's amazing how many little things the pups inherit from their parents or other ancestors. Apart from looks, they get the ways as well - the way they 'speak' to you, the way they play, work.. so you really need to like the parents to get a pup you like.
Puppies will be sold to people who are willing to train their dogs, preferably to those who are active in some dog sport. If you have never owned a dog before, you will not get a BC from me, and I do recommend you start with an easier breed anyway, I'm glad I did!
Help and advice will be given 24/7 for the rest of pups' life, all you have to do is ASK me! Some people only want the dog, not the breeder with it... That is disappointing for me as the breeder, and the new owner is wasting all the knowledge/experience the breeder has — remember, I may have trained/lived with the parents or grandparents of your pup... I know about their quirks and sometimes odd or funny behaviour. So let me help you.

Puppies will be sold ONLY to active homes with experience of dog training and to people who are willing to keep in touch with the breeder (me).
Inqueries welcomed!
